Thanks and welcome to the group. Can I ask the basics. Everyone says be present-centered, don't regret what happened in the past, work on the future, exercise, get counseling, if need be try, anti-depressants, talk to friends, and get a schedule to be busy.

Those are the things people have told my wife, why won't they work for you.

I'm currently in a mental hospital where they tell me the same things. I'm working on it, even though its really hard sometimes.
They tell me I have no support system since I have no friends. That's why I'm here. I wish the best of luck to you and your wife, You have some great advice to work with.

I understand extreme anxiety. And have had depression before. I'm willing to listen and maybe I can help. Have had fear of people and extreme shyness all my life. I began to get better when I started therapy with a hands on therapist. She also ran a group therapy that she put me in. I was also given Xanax I think it was called. Its hard and scary working on yourself. But worth it.

I think there's a nice group here, so post the issues, and the group can respond in hopefully a helpful and constructive way.
