Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I'm pretty sure I have mentioned my ongoing diverticulitus which I was diagnosed with in the ER in January and I have been dealing with off and on all year. In July the physician that I saw insisted it was something else and sent me for a pelvic ultrasound which came back normal. In August it hit me again, and the antibiotics did not help, so i begged my GP for a referal to a specialist. On Augist 24th i was given an appointment of November 1st. It is utterly and absolutely ridiculous to have to wait that long. Obviously I have the option of going to the ER again...but this specialist is also treating me for Barrett's esophagus...which can turn cancerous....and it has been a while since that diagnosis and I really want a recheck on that as well. Anyway....I am starting to wonder if there is something else going on besides the diverticulitus....because the pain is not going away. I have a list of questions for the specialist. That appointment cannot come soon enough. I hate waiting!! And to make matters worse....my mammogram showed something abnormal.....and my mom died when her breast cancer metastasized, so i am being sent for additional tests for that too. I am petrified.

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....
