Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
m in an emotionally abusive relationship. So i met a guy at work and we got along really well. I developed a crush and since we worked at the mall we visited one another alot. One of his close friends and coworkers said to me that if we were single he would want to be with me. I confronted him about it and he agreed. We had all kinda of talks about what wouldve happened if we had met sooner and our crappy realtionships. He picked me up when he hugged me whenever i saw him. The last week he has been more chatty since him and his girlfriend finally split. He strted offering me people to talk to to get out of the relationship with my boyfriend and said things to make me believe that he wanted me to leave so we could finally be together. We made a plan to meet at my friend to talk and hangout (among other things)without being caught. 9:15 rolls around and he cancels. Hes tired. Okay fine me and my friend get drunk and i start trying to see what actually happened. He made these plans not me mind you. He eventually says more or less he likes me platonically and sexually, not romantically. He was all i looked forward too. He was what pushed me to look for a way out of this abusive relationship. But now my light is gone, i feel guilty for seeing my friends because of my boyfriend, my boyfriend only wants sex and a pet to control. He finally did it. He isolated me so much that i cant breath without tears. All i could think today is that im just a piece of ass to any guy i ever talk to. I already struggle with depression. I think that i have stopped fighting against the metaphorical chains that are trying to pull me under water. I give up. I can't stop crying.

I've been hurt recently and it was LTR and it wasn't abusive. She just cheated.
If you need to vent, PM mev
I was with one male family member and at his house, there's a girl hanging around, another somewhere else, at an event, another comes up to him. It just seemed silly for so many women to concentrate on a small group of men and then be disappointed.
If you know you are in 'an abusive relationship' then why are you still in it? I don't mean that in a challenging, attacky way: I mean: figure it out! If you don't feel loved, don't feel valued, feel treated badly, why do you stay?
If you don't believe in the man you are with, then you need to leave him. And that's the first thing you do. Finding some other guy to latch onto to escape guy no. 1 is not okay. It's not okay for you, it's not okay for the current boyfriend, it's not okay for the future boyfriend. You certainly won't get any respect from anyone if you do it.
Always leave one guy and give yourself space and time to readjust before you go looking for the next guy. That's the honest thing to do.
If you don't want to feel like a piece of meat you are going to have to stop treating yourself like one.
#toughlove. xx
It is okay to be single and wait for the right guy.
I wouldn't have called what you did cheating: cheating to me is penis enters vagina. But you certainly are leapfrogging from one lily pad to another. And that is only going to do you harm as a person. You have to learn to stand on your own feet, not be carried by one man after another. You're strong. You're an adult. You've got this. There's absolutely no need to cripple yourself in this way.
if you don't want to be with boyfriend no. 1, you need to pack up your gear and go. You disentangle financially. You cut your losses if you have to. You go. You get up on your hind legs and you toddle out the door. Everyone here has done this. Nobody's telling you to do anything they won't or haven't done themselves.
You'll be fine. And you'll develop a kind of self respect that men will smell on you. And they will treat you differently.
You'll be fine.
Try looking around at the guys you haven't noticed before. They may not be as cool or as good looking but they might just treat you better. They would sure be happy to talk to you!
You may also think about the vibe you send out. Do you look too sexy? Men who are after a one night stand will swarm all over you if you look like you're into that. If a man flatters you don't trust him.
You want a man who wants you for your personality. He should be attracted to you, but he should value you for more than your appearance alone.
In the end only you can choose the value of your life. You must be willing to say no and be willing to wait for someone better to come along.
