Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am starting to think that I really should stop drinking until I get my medication straightened out. Also, drinking with an upset stomach is seriously bad news.
My problem is my social life tends to revolve around going to clubs and bars. It i where I know all of my friends and so I feel compelled to drink.
Another problem of mine is that I have a severe problem with concentration unless I drink. I find it very hard to either paint or write music without a drink in my hands. Then again, I have been in a severe depression which is making it next to impossible to paint or make music. But if I am doing something that involves concentration, it is very habitual for me to have to do it with a glass or two of wine. Of course, I DO also have a problem with when to stop drinking, and I always end up drinking more and more which is bad news.
You need to do what is best for you and you are smart enough to know what that is..I was not.... hugs and love my friend..
Lately I have been frequently getting very sick to my stomach, so there really is no point in me drinking and dehydrating myself.
Of course, this constant ill feeling is driving me nuts and causing a LOT of anxiety. I feel like something is severely wrong with me.
Of course, I did go to the Doctor and they told me what I always hear. Apparently I am in tip top shape.
I just increased my zoloft from 50 to 100 mg. Hopefully this will help, but now I am wondering if it is the zoloft that is making me ill. Still, I must admit that my OCD over music and art has dropped after starting Zoloft, but I really hope it isn't what is making me sick.
Has anyone else experienced severe nausea due to Zoloft?
