Have you tried..St John's wort

I have st johns wort capsules ages ago I was going to try them to see if they helped the depression, but I had to stop taking them because they interfered with other medication i was on.

I was just wondering if anyone else has used it and do you think it works as a natural medication?

i haven't, personally. but i've heard mixed reviews.

I tried it first, way back when, and it gave me migraines. I had to quit...

I believe migraines from St. John's Wort is a precursor/indicator of a much worse allergic reaction, which could be very very serious.

the meds i was taking was the pill, and the doc said i couldnt take them with that. I am not on any meds just now

My psychiatrist told me that for mild to moderate forms of depression, studies have shown that St. John's can be useful for some. But in more severe or in treatment resistant types of depression,they are not helpful...If your depression is not severe and since you already have the capsules, I think it could be worth trying them out.I have met a couple of people online who they have helped.

I was told as a teenager to take them for migraines. They never helped me with anything. They smell like feet and you can taste them long after you swallow them. NASTY...Maybe they dont smell as bad as they used to though.
