Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone.
I'm glad it's Friday and I'm almost done with work.
Going to do some flea market shopping tomorrow morning. I like to find old concrete statues and plaques that are worn out (and cheep lol) and bring them back to life with a little TLC and fresh paint. It's my winter project while hubby watches basketball.
Then Sunday after church I'm going to help a local nonprofit sort donations of shoes and things.
Then...eh... Pray for this one.... visit my mom. It's her birthday today. I love her ...she's my mom, but she's toxic. Can be very damaging to my mental health. It'll be a short visit. So it'll be ok.
Have a great weekend everyone!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

I find the key to visiting with toxic relatives is to keep the time to a minimum. Set a time, 15-20 minutes and when the time is up say your goodbyes firmly and leave :)
My mother used to stress me out. I lived too far away after I got married
for short visits. Once a month I would come stay for the weekend while my husband was at the Air National Guard. And we would talk on the phone a couple of times a week.
somehow I think you live in Japan....maybe I have you confused with another member with similar name........
happy birthday to your mom and hope she does not rip and shred your soul today for nothing that you have done....toxic parents I had a dad that way for many years he ended up in Alzheimer and died on Oct. 1 in 2009.....
Lol got my arm workout carrying in back to the car, he's small but heavy.
Mom visit went ok. Set a very strict 20min time limit. That seems to work best .
