I had a horrible nightmare yesterday...in the nightmare my son died a horrible death in my arms...when he died, i just SCREAMED my lungs out...and when I woke up and realized that it was just a nightmare....I just SCREAMED MY LUNGS OUT AGAIN...WHY? Why would I have a dream like that?
i talked to my son's youth minister about this nightmare, and he asked me if I was under any stress...HAHAHA...I couldn't help but laugh...I have a lot of stress...
I have school stress...which i like and brought on my self...
but I also have:
relationship stress...my relationship with my spousal equivalent is non-existant...
raising a teenager stress: he's a good kid for the most part...but it's still stressful making sure I raise him right...
parent stress...my mom will be 91 years old in june...and she thinks she is going to die soon and wants me to help her get her house in order...that is very stressful to me as i'll have to deal with things I've been avoiding for most of my adult life...
and then there's the extended family stress...which is just additional stress that I cannot handle at this time...
I haven't taken my blood pressure meds for the last month cause i don't have the money to purchase them so naturally my blood pressure is sky high right now and I'm just not feeling life right now...if you know what i mean....
the youth minister told me I should find a way to release all this stress and I just don't know HOW? ...
what do i do? the only thing i can come up with is study...but that doesn't really release any stress...so I don't know what to do?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Sing! LOUD!!!
Meditation. (I know, sounds impossible!!)
Walk somewhere fast.
Housework, like scrubbing cupboard doors.
These have all worked for me in differing degrees, but it has to be something you're comfortable doing or you'll build more stress feeling awkward.
I often have dreams about my sons dying, and it makes me wake up crying and I carry on crying, because you have felt the agony of losing something so very precious to you. It means that each time they leave the house I make sure I hug them and smile.
You have a good son; enjoy him!! We all make mistakes, but if he's making you proud you must be doing something right.
get out into nature. breathe fresh air.
do things that are easy for you but relaxing...and let you not think too much.
idk, what about artistic stuff, or sports?
Here's a link to dream interpretations. A member shared this link with me long ago. I found it interesting and frequently look up dreams on it.
