Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I just dont know what to do.
I'm positive you can't get parasites in your brain due to flea bites. I've had cats and fleas for decades, so many flea bites and no parasites. But I'm not basing my opinion just on my personal experience.
Anyway, you should get it checked out. Is it still going on? If not, maybe you can find a low-cost clinic to go to instead of the ER.
Good luck!

My parents would not let me go to get checked up in the hospital many times, bad times. I think I am probably going to find out what was happening to me one of the times once I get a constant video EEG when I'll probably go inpatient.
NEVER not go to the hospital. What you were going through sounded pretty serious and probably neurological, as you've lost some white matter. What did they tell you about that? I think any type of serious brain injury that effects people in many ways would require some follow-up...Well, you have some proof now, and I don't know your age but Obama made it possible to stay on your parents' insurance until you're 26? I think 26?
I don't think people can get parasites in their brain from fleas. I know the whole feeling you get after giving a dog a flea bath and your arms start itching. I dunno if that's just a reaction from the whole process or you've gotten the fleas' fleas, lol. It must've been hard living in a house full of fleas. Typically, I think that most things can not be passed from an animal to a person or vice versa. But if you get canine scabbies, you'll get a rash, but it'll quickly go away since ultimately these things can't survive on people. They can only survive on their typical host, like a dog.
I dunno much, but I know that white matter basically refers to connections in the brain between gray matter so you were probably right about that one. But it's usually up for COMPETENT doctors to diagnose. What did they tell you about what they found? What'd they tell you to do about it?
Hugs, I hope everything will be all right.
On an unrelated side note, I told the weird guy on Facebook to be careful and not get FIV from his cat. (Feline HIV) However, it's impossible to get such a thing from a pet anyway. Lol
Here is some info on white brain matter disease:
