and just intime before christmas, now that's a real blessing if ever I have heard of one right now. xx
In fact, that was what he was most upset about. He wasn't worried about being unemployed for a terribly long length of time - he is a highly skilled and qualified worker so he will never have a hard time finding work - but this city has slowed down really bad lately and most of the major projects coming up aren't set to start until after the new year.. so he was worried about being unemployed through the month of December. The idea of that was really upsetting for him because he and I are the only family one another have way out here in the West, and I am having such great financial difficulties at the moment that if he didn't have any money either we wouldn't be able to do much together for Christmas. Neither of us are materialistic, and it's not about buying presents.. but dinner costs money.. and so do outings and drinks and delicious christmas treats and wine and etc.... So it was really upsetting to him that he might not be able to have a nice Christmas with me.
I hope you don't mind if I celebrate a little with you. I Give Thanks for this good thing for a good man.
Thanks Bob.. yes he is a good person and he deserves it when good things like this happen.
I should also add to the Christmas thing - this is the first Christmas in 4 years that he actually had a family member here to celebrate with. That's why it is such a big deal and why he was so upset about the idea that we might not be able to do much celebrating.
