I'm scared that something bad will happen I feel like I can see the bad things that are going to happen ahead. That I can't control. It's weird I just feel like I'm apart from my mind and body . I'm just watching everything that's happening without the ability to do anything about it.

I'm sorry you feel this way. I am not a medical professional but it sounds to me like you are dissociating yourself from your own feelings and thoughts. I would like to encourage you to talk to a professional as they have lots of tips and helpful strategies to help yo become in control and to think for yourself. You are not alone and we are all rooting for your success. Dont give up!

It does sound like you are disassociating from your body. I used to do that a lot and now I use that tactic in times of extreme stress. It was something I learned to do as a child to escape being abused. I also know that it is really painful when is keep happening and oftentimes cannot be controlled. Also, the feeling that something bad is about to happen, is one I am familiar with. One of the mental practices I have used in this regard is to say to myself, "ok, if it's going to happen, fine, bring it on. I'll deal with it if it does and I'll come through it somehow. I'm not going to let that fear stop me now from what I want to do."

Hi sweetie, Anxiety Overload can indeed make you disassociate from yourself It is one of the mind's strange methods of coping. Is there any chance you can get some professional help with the anxiety? Are there any sliding scale mental health clinics in your area? Do you have a regular doctor? Maybe he or she could prescribe you something helpful in the meanwhile and help you find mental health help. You are definitely not alone in this; my own mind comes up with some really foreboding thoughts of negative things that could or might happen. Sometimes I sit down and write a journal about the bad thoughts and then I can "talk myself down" and come up with solutions for any bad things that might occur. Hugs to you my dear, I am sorry you are struggling.

You need to get a doctor & be assessed for appropriateness for medication. the issues won't get better on their own & dissociating from yourself is a last-line measure for coping & is not a good coping mechanism that will hold up for you when facing many different difficult situations in the future. I am severely depressed & have anxiety & if I wasn't on medication I can say I would have likely committed suicide awhile ago. I don't have any friends either & life is not kind when you don't have actual professional/medicine assistance. Depression and anxiety are not a joke, & you need to get a doctor & be assessed for what kind of assistance you need- but you do need to be assessed AT LEAST. Dissociating will not last for you as a coping method.

Hello, Thanks for reaching out today. I am hearing that you are feeling afraid lately because you you feel like you can see the bad things that will happen. I admire your strength and bravery. Sometimes events occur in our lives and we may can see it happening before it happens based on our feelings regarding what the situation is. I’m wondering what may have recently occurred that you feel you can’t do anything about?. I know that you don’t deserve to feel this way or shouldn’t have to feel this way. I appreciate the steps you are taking to get through this. What does support look like for you?. Such as, friends, family. It’s understandable, this is difficult and we all need to talk to someone at times and it’s great that you are open about this. I’m also wondering what has helped you in the past when you feel afraid?. Such as, your favorite activities and etc. I appreciate your tremendous strength. I wish you the best.

Hi ... when we fear something we know what it is, like seeing a snake. When we are anxious, we have the same feeling, but do know know what is causing it. The compassionate here are offering rightly advice regarding medical intervention via meds. They can help, but the art is discovering the proper mixture. The root cause of your sadness is deeper. There are factors of DNA, thus your nature, and also your history of nurture, shaping by the circle of others influential in your being and becoming ... who you are now ... some helping frameworks believe increasing insight via a talking cure is helpful. It can be ... but it hurts like hell and because it does, that which you are describing, I say this sincerely, I cannot know in your shoes what this is like, but I care, I am just that way. Many are. When in my own pit ... people say this to me ... and it does nothing ... If you are pondering suicide ... that is normal ... we believe that such is sweet sorrow ... but the wisdom in thantatos is this ... something needs to die ... to be transformed ... but it is a part of you ... not all of you ... and the hope is this .... waves of sadness have ups and downs ... and there is hope to discover ... being known and knowing is worth it ... but hard to find ... I am glad you came to cyberspace reaching for life ... that is a positive signal ... trust that impulse in you ... you are special ... talk back to the voices that say you are not ... Love Jay

I got an email from Kohl's that I had a 40% off coupon for today and tomorrow only. It took me about an hour but I placed an order and got some great deals. I have been wanting a new dress. I like dressing up sometimes. My birthday is coming up and I have dinner plans at a nice restaurant. But, honestly, I'm a little out of control again. I went through this in the fall. I bought...

Has anyone else noticed that clearly speaking and doing things intentionally is liberating because it helps combat the feeling of depression and a sense of hopelessness? Let me share a little more: in my experience, when those who have tried to project a hidden agenda that is obviously not aligned with integrity and well-being, it's best to be firm and speak clearly from self-awareness and...
