I think I understand what you are saying.
For me I don't do the things I should be doing, thus giving me too much "free time". For me I think that it is part of the grieving process, a part that I'm not handling very well.
When changes occur in our lives, we are often beset with a period of loss/emptiness/confusion. I am sure that time and your awareness will give you a new routine. It will come to you.
EXTRA TIME IS A BLESSING IN DISQUISE.
ENJOY IT AND TAKE UP A NEW HOBBY LIKE PAINTING OR EMBROIDERY.

I went through a period of total inertia after my Mom passed.

For me it took just under three months.
We began by getting things fixed around the house.
Then I began to focus on my horse and my riding more.
So don't worry. You will figure something out.
And you do make a very cute kitty!
