Is there *any* chance your mom could get custody? It breaks my heart to hear what you have to endure.

?? So your mum is not wanting to protect you either. I have done foster care and I have a foster daughter who is now 23 and wont leave home. She has never been beaten or raped or put in any danger. It is the media that hypes all this up because for 1 place or person it happens to in foster care, they make people believe it is 50 people.
Honey, find your supports, you don't need to be dismissed, your feelings are worth every opportunity to heal from today, not in a years time. The choice is yours, but my hope for you is that you can get to a point and say, I am more deserving and will not be punished anymore.
It is sad that you are not getting your mum's support and that she too is punishing and making such threats. Why isn't she not there, tolerating it?

My God kiddo! I would foster you! You'd have to share a room w/ my daughter, but she's pretty cool. I know foster care can be scary, but the life you are living right now is no picnic either. How can your mind be healthy if conditions in your home are so awful???

Right now, I find myself wondering if you wouldn't be better off in a homeless shelter than there. I know if I were your aunt or cousin, you would be living w/ me. No ifs ands or buts.

I know it is only 1 more year. I do think you are strong enough to make it for that year, but I don't know that you should *have* to. Whatever you decide, I'm behind you 100%. Just let the decision be made out of weighing the options, not by being scared off of taking action.

You are #1 and it is imperative you make this choice based on what is best for YOU not your mom, dad, etc. Despite the theatrics, you will see your mom if you wish to. She's just frightened and it's natural. At least w/ the status quo, she knows she'll see you. But she has to trust you to make the decision that is right for you.

I would argue that the conditions you are living in *are* abuse. Plus you would not be taking anything away from the other kids in the system or preventing anyone from getting into the system. You deserve a decent home life as much as anyone. Don't deny yourself of that hope just because you haven't had it even worse.

Have you talked to your twin? What does he think/feel about the conditions in the house?

Hehe Triv, abuse is abuse and can not in be considered an over reaction when you take steps to take care of you. Maybe your twin will move with you if they are feeling the same?? If not, you still need to consider your own happiness, YOU can make YOU safe, and I do think you will be surprised at how easy it is once you do it.
