Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I suppose the ball IS in her court now, since she is the one who decided to leave.....
But, regardless of the outcome of your relationship, you can always be a loving and attentive father. That, in itself, is worth the effort....
As far as matters of the heart...well....maybe she just needs to see a change....But, if you feel she's going to make you worse. Then, that is something that goes against your recovery, isn't it? That should be discussed if such proposal arises.
That's all I got. The heart can just rip us a new one without permission, I know.
First and foremost, get well.
I don't know if you WANT your wife to come back to you... and there lies a 'problem'...
I think that as she has filed for divorce, that's it.
Whatever, where ever she went.... Didn't work out for her... She came back... To YOU? For YOU? For who you are 'Warts & All"? Don't think so...
'IT' the dream / desire (that she left for) didn't work out for her...
Sorry about your child.... Kids can be HIT the worse....
Hugs,

Ten years ago my then-husband walked out on me when I was recovering from depression. I was devastated, but then the fact that he left actually helped my recovery. People who are not supportive during your times of need only drag you down.
Good riddance.
