If ever I needed some support from this website it would b e now!!!!! I had a thought of dieing yesterday and i really hit rock bottom with this depression/bi polar thing. I really need some help to get me through. So much has been going on in my life and as I go through life my depression deepers. I think I am hitting rock bottom. To be honest idk if I have depression or bi polar cuz of my drastic mood swings. I was thinking yesterday to hang myself but then got scared that i couldnt go to heaven and that my problems wouldnt go away. Then i felt that people would notice i need help and my mom would feel bad for not listening to my about my dads sexually abusing me and I would no long be a burden to my boyfriend/roomate.no long have to deal with my lack or motivation or mood swings. I even thought of what i would write to them. All this time I have been depressed I have never never felt this bad and idk how to help myself through it which scares me cuz i dont want to get into one of my moods and do something stupid. I dont want it to get that bad. I really need to find some people that are willing to listen to me on here and i will do the same... i dont have a dr appt for awhile. i gotta find a new dr in the new insurance plan i got but i know that one appt wont cure me so please lend a helping hand.... i am scared

From me personally, hanging in there till this passes is what has kept me going through these times. Force yourself to find something positive to be grateful for. Simple things like a playful pet, a pretty butterfly, a warm blanket.

Pink .. I think you would benefit from calling a suicide hotline. Sex abuse victims can have big problems .. and if you have not talked about it to your doctor, you really need to do so.

So I am urging you to do two things:

Call a hotline 1-800-784-2433 and here is their website:

After you have talked to them then (unless you haven't already), tell your doctor (at your next appointment) about the sex abuse.

I am sure your doctor knows about your mood swings etc .. but he/she needs to know about the abuse also ... if not already.

I don't know why you have to find a 'new' doctor . but if you do, find one soon ... and tell him/her all about ... everything.

Suicide is not a solution, Pink. You can get GOOD help if you go to the right sources and tell what has happened.

I have the same thought pattern I dont want to b here noone will care it will hurt will God reject me will my kids resent me wat if everything gets better tomoro but im gone today. The funk usually goes away n I feel stupid for ever feelin that way. I cant talk to my shrink for fear of a divorce he could use it or I would b locked away I hope u get thru it its nvr lasted longer than I could handle altho it didnt feel like it at the time

wandering vet,
i moved and gained health insurance so i am going to go to a dr in the plan. i was going to one before who wouldn talk to me for like 10mins and gave me meds and we never found the right ones for me :/ so when i moved he is about 45mins away so i am trying to find a dr that i can actually go to talk to and i think i do need to call the hotline in the mean time so i can get through. is that an internatioal number?

my name is crystal and i know i dont know you but i want to tell you that depression sucks and if i was there with you i would hug you and tell you that everything will be ok but i hope you can feel that thru my writing....i myself am always depressed and it is an awful feeling but in retrospect i always think how glad i am to live in such a beautiful amazing and mysterious world. and to take your life would be just awful...there is so much more....i hope you know that.

I know how you feel. I recently attempted suicide, and almost died for real. I thought my husband and my family and friends would be better off without me. I felt like I was nothing but a burden. When I woke up in the hospital, I realized what I had done and was really freaked out by it. It really came out of the blue. Looking back I can see the signs, and realize that I should have gotten help sooner. All I can say is don't do it, your family and friends will miss you. I just started therapy and so far, so good. I am on a couple of medications that seem to help, so hopefully I will get myself in a better place. Hang in there, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It will get better. Hugs.

Just tell yourself that it's okay to be scared, everybody gets scared now and then, but it will pass. Have faith that things will workout alright and you will get through this. Things are constantly changing and our fears only hinder us. There is a natural stress relief med called Rescue Remedy that may help, it is in health food stores. It is made by a company called Bach and is made with flower essences.

I have been where you are now. I went to my doctor and just cried she asked me to take a walk with her and the next thing I knew I was on the wrong side of a locked door looking through a small window, I was angry at first but my stay there (7 days) did wonders for me emotionally. There was group talk and lots of activities. I really missed my kids but I came out healthier and would recommend it for anyone who is at there wits end.
