Just wanted to post that I had my first acupuncture treatment yesterday. I felt very relaxed and at ease with the practitioner and
the session took about an hour. First, you give a detailed medical history and then the doctor takes a reading on all 6 of your pulses.
He asked me if I had certain physical maladies~ headaches, backaches, nasal congestion...all of which I did to a minor degree. (Had no real back issues in long while as I get a full body massage 1X week.)
Anyhow....drank lots of water to help detox the body...went to sleep very early (midnight is early for me) and awoke with a killer backache and bit of headache. Hmmmm...not sure but I think that having gotten some of the energy points activated in my back and legs might have contributed to feeling like this. I had over a dozen needles placed in my backside and legs along with one on the crown of my head while lying face down on a massage table for about 25 minutes total.
I am scheduled to go back next Monday for the next appointment.
After moving around this am I did have a burst of energy~ I was dancing around my house to Huey Lewis and felt pretty good after downing a few cups of coffee.
Doctor says that in the first session energy moves slowly and picks up a bit in future sessions. I will keep you posted and try to keep my journal updated for friends who are curious about if or how this series of treatments effects any positive outcome on treating depression.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
I am going to try and submit the bill to my healthcare provider and see if (by chance) it might be covered. Worth a try I think.
Future sessions are going to cost $50.
