Good Morning Everyone

feeling so suffocated right now, don’t know which way to go, I know my mother and I need changes in our life, but it’s so hard when she isn’t with the program, everything I suggest she agress’s than an hour or two it’s totally opposite of what we discussed, I try to give her options, and listen to her concerns, but it’s never the same issues goes back and fourth, I’ll be 40 in few months, I have set my personal life aside for her, without her knowing but at times it seems like why, it would be easier to put her in a home, but I know she would be very miserable and I don’t want to do that to her... anyways thanks for listening everyone ❤️❤️❤️

your a good daughter, and one in a million, most people just push the elderly handicapped, or mentally ill aside. It's hard and I feel for you. I hope you can do something positive or creative that can help you feel like your doing something for yourself too.

Thank you had my mother tested yesterday and she scored 26 next step is to go see the Psychologist

Got my hopes up high ones she realize where I’m taking her, she will refuse to go, it took me 7 months to have her agree to getting tested by our family doctor, and we kinda had to sneak it in on her

It’s a tough path to be on but ultimately it sounds like your mom may see some benefit to nursing care. It’s a hard job and beyond the physical and emotional it’s getting training to be an informed caregiver and time for yourself as a respite. When you do it all you often forget the caregiver’s needs for time off. Many hugs of support((()))

Thank you for sharing. Being a caregiver can be extremely frustrating, but knowing you are doing your best is the best for your mother. It is different with someone older, as they feel humiliated by needing help. It is a balancing act. You are in my prayers. Thank you and God Bless.

You are a very caring daughter and your mom is blessed. What you're doing for your mom is priceless. Yes, it's difficult. But we weren't guaranteed a perfect life. We make the best of it, and there are better things to come. Your love for your mom shows through.

I met a guy who was looking after his father who had mentally deteriorated badly. I don't know how long he had been looking after him but he finally decided to put his dad in a home because he had had enough and couldn't carry on anymore. It's very sad and painful but the time will come....

If you can afford a stay-at-home nurse or two then that would help you a lot. It's expensive though. Are there any family members that can lend a hand?

You are in a very difficult place caring for your mom. This is a very exhausting job. Please don’t think you have to do this alone. You are not a bad daughter for asking for support in caring for her.

I am greatly touched by your desire to be by her and to willingly make necessary personal sacrifices to do so. My prayers are with you and your mom.
