I live in an apartment complex that seems to be going to the dogs--yes, it is low income. Most of the neighbors are nice, just trying to get by one day at a time, but there are some who are just complete asses. The other night at 1:30 am, the complex drunk was pounding on the door of his girlfriend/ex/ who the hell knows" s apartment. It woke me up and brought back memories of an abusive relationship. The powers that be protect this jerk from any consequences, while I almost got evicted because my daughter and a neighbors daughter had a middle school fight that didn't even happen on the property and the girl and her mother hacked into her facebook and wrote a threat--my daughter was at her grandparents with no access. The unfairness just pisses me off to no end. I did do something, though. I informed the asshole if he does it again, I will be phoning the police with a complaint. I just wish I could afford to get out of there.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having these problems at your apartment. That's so frustrating to have selfish neighbors like that. I'd definitely call the cops if it happens again. I know that I live in a house and there's a house close to mine that has renters that were obnoxious. I did some checking into it and here anyway, if the cops are called a certain number of times the landlord gets fined, and can eventually lose their rental license if the cops keep getting called and the landlord doesn't do anything about that tenant. Hang in there!

Well that was a crappy night! I don't understand where people get off, thinking they can just interrupt everyone because they are awake and of course, drunk. They are the worse because they don't give a darn who they are hurting or upsetting. I too hope you can get out of there. That is the problem with low income housing sometimes, but then, other times, like you said, everyone is just trying to get by day by day and they don't want to bother anyone, anymore then they want to be bothered. I will never understand how these hackers know how to do these things on the computers! I hope your daughter is okay now. And vent whenever you need to, it does make us feel better!

So far, everything has been quiet-- I must have looked like I really meant what I said when I told him I would call the cops next time...the police station has just moved to right down the street from the apartment, that may have put the fear of God into him. My daughter now knows to not have so called "friends" access to her computer information...so all is better on that front.
