Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I hope this does not sound like a lecture ... just want to say, .. life is an ever changing process ... very little 'stands still'. I could not find a 'childhood' friend today if my life depended on it.
I am the oldest person left in my family, and I only associate with one of my two younger brothers. NOTHING is like is 'was'.
However, I have found new things, people, places, behaviors .. which all give me a great life.
I recommend you look MOSTLY forward ... and make 'things happen' with your life. You can fill it, or drain it .... your choice.
I know how it feels to be alone, you are in my thoughts - Hugs
Families are supposed to watch out for each other. They can be closer with some, without deserting anyone - it takes so little, and if
that small effort is more than they're willing to offer, it's hard to deal with.
You might enjoy an outing, on your own. It's often difficult to find someone who enjoys the same things and going to the same places and sad to completely miss out on doing something/going somewhere because you don't have another person joined at the hip.
Sending a hug and hoping things are better soon.
Aww hmm maybe you can get a new kitty.Or a small dog. I am planning on getting a bunch of pets in the near future, just to cope better in life.
I hate to be a burden, even if nobody calls me that. I hate to not be useful. I hate to not be able to help. I hate to not have a function beyond existing.
