First off I am disabled, from a birth defect that showed up when I was 39. I was diagnosed with "Intestinal Mal-rotation Presenting in Adult life". Google it, 2 in one million odds they found it at 39 yrs old. It has been one hell of a ride! I have had a Ladd's Procedure, a necessity for all malrotion findings. I have constant chronic abdominal cramping too. I'm trying to become active again, I've been working around my house, getting the drainage right and other things that need attended to as I go. I have been at this for 6 weeks. My body has never completely recovered. I'm sore from head to toes. I have arthritis in my ankles and feet. I guess i'm just a worn out old man at 48. I'm going to heal up and continue. I'm wondering if I may have Fibromyalgia.

Sorry to hear about all that. It must be hard. Being in pain or not feeling well everyday really takes it's toll, physically and emotionally. But it's good that you're trying to get back at it by doing things here and there. Hopefully with some more time the pain and issues will alleviate and you can start feeling better. Hang tight.

That is so much to deal with, especially with what the last 10 years has brought you. My mother deals with arthritis and fibro as well. It's an unbelievably painful and difficult thing to deal with along with your other ailments. Glad to hear you're doing your best to work around it. Best wishes friend

I feel for you Ted. But you ARE making headway. You're working on your house which is fantastic.
My husband and I finally got the house cleaned up although he had to do most of it, For me just the depression alone is very debilitating making it hard to function. But we keep going don't we...?

Sorry you are dealing with chronic pain from your illnesses everyday. Very difficult to cope with. I am glad to hear that you are starting to make improvements to your home. Under the circumstances with your chronic pain, I think you have made a lot of progress and you should be proud of yourself. I hope you will be strong enough to continue with your progress.

Thank you everyone! This is the only place people that are disabled as well, whom really "GETS IT". My friends are so retarded when it comes to mental and physical illnesses. I gave up on them and turned to DS. I know they are trying to help, but they have no medical or mental health experiene. Ted
