I just have to say that being alone on the 4th of July really sucks. I'm trying so hard to stay busy and fight off the depression.

I am sure that you're not alone in being alone of the 4th.
It is one of those holidays that can make people feel left
out, like the whole world in on a picnic or vacation and
you're missing out on everything.
And it does suck. Happy that you're trying to distract yourself.

Yes you’re right it does feel like I am missing out. It definitely helps to try and stay busy.

I will feel that way but then I took a walk around my neighborhood today and saw my one neighbors just in their yard , another one walking up the street. So yes their are many people doing “things” and others who maybe just enjoy the day off to relax. I just went shopping and walked my dogs today. Best to you livingbetter

I am in the same boat. I'm so sorry you are alone on such a social holiday. I almost cried as I drove by families gathered happily in their yards. I've done laundry, cleaned, and walked around Walmart just to force myself out of the house. Hang in there.
