Why is it that when you feel like everything is going okay that your world seems to crumble? Lately I've been wondering this very question. I've worked for this company for 5 years now and I wonder if it has been worth it. I've done good and I finally got up the courage to apply and move up in the company. After applying for an assistant manager position twice I had given up because the let down of not getting the position was more than I could bear. Then one afternoon I was called and asked if I was going to apply at a position that was 30 miles away. I really wanted the position but I wasn't too keen on the idea of driving that far. I went ahead with the interview and actually got the job! That was back in March. My husband and I sold our house that we had been in for 12 years and moved closer to work(he just happens to work right down the street from where I would be working). You'd think everything was going just fine. Well, let me go on. A week ago I was brought into the manager's office and her boss was there also. To make a very long story short I was being accused of stealing and then returning money! I had not done it and I was very upset that the finger had been pointed at me.
Needless to say I have been moved to a different place and been demoted. The manager felt that I shouldn't work under her and that I should work somewhere else. Boy, did that give me the feeling of rejection!!!!!!!
So now, here we are in a new area, a job that is on the rocks, so to speak, a new home that I still haven't quite gotten comfortable with, nobody at all to talk to besides my husband. I'm going absolutely crazy!!!!!! All I want to do is sleep when I'm home because then I don't have to face anything.
I hate feeling this way!!!!!!!! Having this recent happening is giving all the old struggles that have happened throughout my life a chance to creep back into my mind. I'm feeling so overwhelmed that life is beginning to look very bleek and not worth much!!!! I really don't know what to do. Can anyone out there help this lost soul?

i am sorry you are so down,and yes so many feelings come back when you are down, so try to stay up as much as possible,
usually businesses have cameras now everywhere,are there any at your work that could prove she is lying?
maybe check on this, are there any wittnesses?
this sounds crazy that one person ,can just say whatever they want and get someone in trouble like this.
i hope you can find someway to show that she is lying, im sure you dont want to work for her again (but just to show she lied on you and you didnt do anything,
try to stay positive, and concentrate on the good things ok? nothing is worth getting sick again right? even if you would have to leave your job.wouldnt be worth that,
i hope there is someway you can make her into the liar, that is awful what she did to you.

Moving home and starting a new job is always stressfull but it will get easier as you settle in. Your boss sounds horrid. I agree with thatcher in that if they thought you were steeling they would have fired you on the spot ( I used to work i a similar position in a jewelers)The fact they did not could mean your being made a scapegoat. If you feel agreaved by the way you have been treated every company has a procedure for handling hr complaints. If you can find the strength to figh then I would as your worth it. take care and let us know how your getting on x
