Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I'm feeling kind of blah today, I am fighting from going down the dark road and letting the clouds come over my head and drown me. I blew off work today cause I didn't want to go in. I am so disappointed in myself for not finding a new job by now. I gave myself a goal this month, to get out of Home Depot by the end of Oct. I had two job offers this year, but both didn't work out. my last job offer, at AC Moore, would have had me working less hours for less pay. I am so confused and just fed up. I guess I am too picky. I don't want to work on Sat, I did the weekend work thing. It didn't let me have a social life. pretty much everyone I know has weekends off. I'd like to have a job that I am happy with, is that too much to ask for. Not a perfect job, that doesn't exist. But when I hear people say they like their jobs, I wish I could say that. I spoke to my cousin the other day, he is retired and very well off financially and has a good relationship with his kids and grandkids. I lied about my job and a few other things. I didn't want him judging me or giving me his 2 cents.
I am not happy with myself. I'm trying to feel good about myself. I am going to Harper's Ferry tomorrow with my meet up group. I am trying to stay positive and not be anxious about it. I have been there before. My friend/housemate took me there last year. I love being in the country.
thanks for letting me vent.

I hear you! Its difficult to get all ducks in a row, good enough job, somewhere to live, friends, love interest, hobby, health etc. I always have advice-and my advice today is to keep it simple, write lists to organise thoughts, do a bit of clearing out and tidying up each week, reach out to someone today-for a coffee or send a message to ask how they are. Baby steps can take you a long way rather than looking for one BIG solution.
