Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

This week I’ve found out that my mom doesn’t even like me and well...it hurts to know that she has no empathy for her only child. I know this one way, she kept making it look like she didn’t believe anything that I said.
She got jealous of me when my grandma made me breakfast. It honestly feels like a war over who can get the most attention. But before we came, I informed my mom that I wasn’t feeling great, so as any stuck up, selfish, needy b**** would do... she ignored me and said if I ruined her evening I would be grounded.
After breakfast we went for a car ride and she fought about roads to take, then when we got back she yelled at me for no obvious reason, and I was upset and may have said some horrible things and ran out. So she yelled at my grandma and my grandma argued and aggravated her further. Then my grandma came to find me, and when she did I told her I needed to go to the hospital and showed her why (with a giant bluish-black thing on my stomach) and my grandma got me up and we rushed back to the house which my mom had very immaturely locked.
Anyways I was rushed to the hospital and apparently had internal bleeding, and my mom didn’t open the door until we were desperately knocking on neighbors doors asking if someone could drive us or call 911.
And my mom didn’t care to even ask what was wrong she just kept saying if this ends up being something stupid I’ll make you pay for every bit of the treatment. I ended up being emitted to 3 different hospitals and still no I’m sorry or feel better from my parent.
I’m depressed, I feel betrayed, and I wish I never knew this thing that claims to be my mom.

I guess you have to morn the mother you wish you had and find a way to emotionally
distance yourself from your mother.
And WanderingVet is right. If the situation comes to child abuse, consider calling the police.
I agree with WV, your mother definitely has a problem within herself. YOU are NOT the problem. Stay close with your grandmother, she sounds like a wonderful woman!
