Sorry that you did not get the job. I know this is difficult but try to consider the fact that the candidate may be in a similar situation. Many people have a difficult time finding employment yet hold on to hope that the next time will be their time. Your time is coming.

Agree, your time is coming. Once asked a coworker who was obviously very successful with interviews. She said that she did her homework and attitude. I needed a bit more info so she shared further. She would research the company for the why do you want to work for us question. She had also looked up some other typical interview questions. She then flipped the script, meaning she was the one deciding if she wanted to work for them. Some folks pad their resumes, which is unfortunate, but may get them a job. Good luck as you move forward. Comforting hugs in the meantime.

My husband and I moved a while back and I've gotten so many no's for jobs-even simple ones that I know I would do well at. I got some phone calls and one place wanted me to come to a job fair. Don't know if you've ever been to one of those but it felt so awkward and I ended up walking out. Maybe in my spirit I just knew it wasn't the right place. Then I ended up with 3 surgeries, so haven't been able to work anyways. I'm waiting for the right yes, the right door to open at the right time. My husband doesn't really want me to do the same jobs I always used to do anyways. This may even push my husband and I to start our own business. Your door will open. I'll be praying for you! <3

thanks for the replies. I've done my homework as far and interviewing, to make sure I do them well. there are people here, esp in admin who want to keep me here doing the drudge work I've done for 11 years, and passing info through the grapevine as soon as they find out I've applied somewhere else, i screwed up and told someone here about it, I was very excited, and was overheard by an asshole who shared it with admin. so they made sure to block my chances I'm sure, next time I just have to keep shit quiet.

most of the people here are young, and don't have much feeling for other people, especially if you're older like me. they are far to busy trying to show how cool they are to each other.

it all comes around, its their turn now, be painent your time will come. right now may be the time when only lesser jobs are available that requires lesser then type of people. when the time comes when they need a more skilled person to fill a job it maybe your turn then. don't worry about what you can't have now, there always is a reason for things to happen the way they do. its just a matter of understanding this and being happy with what you have. the universe has a way of doing things, it only supplies what you truly feels you need.
