Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Yes, I am currently practicing the "fake it till you make it" strategy, and it does work sometimes. I think it is important to understand, though, when we are faking it and why. Understand the situation, and you will be that much further along understanding your depression and its triggers.
Hope to read more posts from you. I like your style.

Huggs to all
U guessed it.......... broke by monday
BUT what does work for me is this say'n... shit in one hand and wish in the other, and see which one fills up first.....
I can't fake emotions or truth.
But I can do things like fake being confident if I need to step it up in a social or business situation. And yeah, I find that in faking it, you become it. Becoz if you can fake it, you can actually do it.
I actually employed this technique with my wife, and to the amazement of more than one psychiatrist, this is a true story, I am actually able to fool my wife. She honestly believed while I was taking sertraline that I had orgasms. Although faking it, never actually helped me make it, at least I got to enjoy the ride without being told how I was wasting my time by her.
I do get the sentiment and it has been known to work on more positive thinking patterns from time to time. I dare say I do believe it's launched a singer or two I wish it had not.
