Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

It has been a bad week. My Jeep window cracked from one side to the other and needed to be replaced. The horn started going off by itself one morning. We had to pull the fuse, but we have yet to find out what exactly is going on. And yesterday I spent 3 hours in the ER. I now can add diverticulitis to my other diagnosis of diabetes , an underactive thyroid, a heart that does not work as it should , depression and a gallbladder that does not work at 100%. The major issue is my diet...I do not know what to eat. I was told that a gallbladder diet is pretty different that a diet for diverticulitis
I have an appointment with my regular doctor Monday and i am sure he can make recommendations. Sadly....one of the few things left that i enjoy is eating. This turn of events has me even more depressed.......

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Have a beautiful day!
So put a lot of that diet stuff back on your doctors, make them find a good diet for you!

Sorry to hear...I suffered from diverticulitis before and along with my diet change (breads, cheese, etc) I learned to treat it with Fibers, lots of water, or Mylanta to keep the system flowing. It's been a couple of years since I stopped suffering. Be careful with certain meds as well. Some pain and depression pills enhance constipation.
I also learned to relax by breathing deeply from my stomach for a few minutes. It allows me to shift and keep above major mental thoughts that affect my well being. You have a lot of things tangled up and its your body reacting to so much you're going through - A lot of stress!!! Keep sharing and letting it out my friend.
