Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
i feel like cr!#. what are you doing to deal with this phase?
Get yourself a lined notedbook...each day put down one goal BUT.......the goal must be something small and achievable (ie) tidy the kitchen or do one load of washing. When you have completed that goal put a tick next to it. If you feel like doing another small goal, once again write it down and tick it when completed. You cannot put down unreasonable goals that are out of reach.
The whole point to this is that you get into the habit of goal setting, you can visualise your achievements and not feel like you're just eating and sleeping all the time and with each success you get a morale boost which in turn helps to lift the mood. Household chores may look like a stupid goal, but they're something that can be done and are simple. You can increase the type of goal later on
i find maybe having something to look forward to helps lift my mood a bit, like i dont know seeing a good freind or going somewhere nice even for just an hour.
also do you see a thearpist or a doctor might be able to help to
and doing something you enjoy even though its really hard when you have derpression alot of thing dont seem enjoyable, but anything just to give you a little push it could be reading making cakes, anything and making goals.
i hope this help xxx
