Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
1. Take the issues one by one Imagine someone gives you a 2lb steak, quadruple decker sandwich, you go at it in small pieces. Start creating meaningful, achievable goals which perhaps hit 1/10 or 1/20 of the problems but reflect progress. Don't look at whether you solved your overall problem but whether you achieved part of your interim goals.
2. Start looking for another place. Perhaps it will have drawbacks, maybe further from where you want to be, but it will be safe, at least safer.
3. Whether to get cops involved is a tough decision, but you can make progress. I had a friend defrauded of $5,000 and I wanted to help. I called the local police and like you they first said I had the wrong place. Fast forward, I spoke to probably 10 people, waited a good hour, but finally was connected to a New Orleans detective who knew the guy who perpetrated the fraud, turned out he was on bail, and I suspect he will get arrested for the crime and probation violation and plead guilty to one of the offenses.
children not helping since husband died. Are they not helping with housework? are they adults and not helping you pay any bills?
Bad neighbors and property damage. DANG what state do you live in that allows this BS to go on unaddressed?
