Hang on Richie. Tomorrow is another day of new hope. Nothing is absolute. With separation, it's always ugly but if you show the judge your sincerity and your devotion to your child, these things will be considered by the Family Court.

No one has the right to deny a father to access his child. Perhaps your ex-wife is trying to limit/reduce the frequency of your visitations. Just tell the judge that you have been looking after an ill mother, so that you cannot fly to Spain that often. Ask your Mom's social worker to write a letter of support for you to explain the difficulties of being a carer to your Mom and juggling a job to obtain an income.

Ask your friends, boss, family to write character references that you can show the court to demonstrate the difficulties you have experienced in the past years. Don't forget to mention the COVID restrictions/lockdown that occurred whilst your marriage had broke down, which prevented you from flying to Spain to reunite with your daughter. Write a letter to the judge about how important your daughter is to you, that you are prepared to lose your life if you have lost her. All of these documents are very important in a divorce/parental application.

The whole system in Spain is corruption, they are not going to listen to me, especially now due to this false report.

You have a new lawyer now. You have an opportunity to fight for your daughter through the court system, so lets prepare all of those character references for court instead of doing nothing. Show your daughter that you care. One day when she is all grown, she will find out her father's effort to fight for her custody. You would not want her to know that you have not done anything to preserve the parental relationship with her. Meet the new lawyer or call him up now and discuss strategies. Don't underestimate those character references: they would dispel the falsehood that the mother's side is generating.

I gave a character reference already, the lawyer said they don't use them in Spain.

Please keep trying. It sounds like things are difficult right now for you and I am sorry I don't know the whole story, but I would like to hear the story. That there is a custody issue with your daughter, from what I am reading on this post. There is hope, I assure you.

Perhaps you can do some research as to what kind of documents you would need to grab back your right to parental responsibility. Ring the new Spanish lawyer and see what advices that he can offer. Whatever that you do, it is not the end of the world. Lots of fathers have gone through divorces, and have fought for custody of the children. Life goes on, and suicide is not the answer to all problems. If you feel very depressed tonight/today, check yourself through Hospital Emergency department for some meds to help you go through this very difficult period.

Remember Richie, you are a British citizen, so is your daughter. You can always appeal through the British courts to obtain custody to your child if worse comes to worst. The Family Court in UK favours 50:50 parental responsibility, so the Spanish court have to come to some sort of compromise. Check this out with a British lawyer and see if he can offer you some advices as to how you should proceed.

Thank you, to say I am doing nothing is a bit unfair, I know it was meant to put the fire in my belly, but that is already there in shed loads. Yesterday I messaged the priest in my ex wifes village, he said there is little he can do. Today I wrote to the mayor of my ex wifes village again. I emailed the supervision centre and asked about their complaints procedure. I am busting a gut emotionally, I do not mind, but after 3 years it sort of gets to you.

If you truly have faith then say I KNOW GOD WILL HELP ME! and he will, sometimes his answers are not what we are looking for but he knows your past, present, and all possible futures for you and he wants to guide you into the best one he can.

This is from his eyes not ours of course. We may dream of money, power, fame, etc but those are worldly desires and he doesn't care about those past providing for our needs. He wants us to become the best version of ourselves we can be.

He has purpose for us in this life and in the next. Think of this life like being in grade school prepping us for the challenges he has for us in the next life.

Every challenge may be painful but you can also think of this life as a blacksmith forge. Every challenge every pain is like the swing of the hammer beating us into the shape that God wants us to be.

Some people are shields, some are swords, some are teapots but it is up to God to choose the person he needs us to be.

Death can be seen as the final annealing of the metal. We are heated super hot and then quenched in water where we discard the impurities and pain of this life and our pure soul is brought before him for him to look at and judge.

None of us will be without sin for judgement but Jesus steps in to fill in the cracks and uneven surfaces. He makes us perfect and pure even with all our defects so that God will look at us and love who we became, and know we are the perfect creation he wanted us to be.

He will bring us to his table and say "That is my child, they went through the fire and loved me and my son so strongly i don't care they are dinged or have a crack here and there they are my child and they will sit at my table forever".

Please develop your faith and gain the relationship with Jesus Richie. I know it is hard but he WILL guide you from the darkness. I know he will because he did the same thing for me as he has for millions of others.
