Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I shop online. Most of you guys know that I "had" somewhat of an addiction to shopping at one time. Yep, ran up $30,000 in credit card debt. Even though I stay out of the stores and have payed off 90% of my debt.......... (I still owe a little less than $3,000) I started buying BOOKS. They're used books so I'm only paying 3 or 4 dollars at a time. BUT, everyday I check out the site. And everyday I order SOMETHING!!!! My book shelves are overflowing, but the cost is so small, I CAN'T STOP!!!! :)
I'll have to live to be 200 in order to read all of my books :)
(((((((((HUGS)))))))))) Sweetie
I shop on line and have spent my sons whole inheritence... now I am reselling it to get money back in my savings.. Gold and silver.. I am a nutcase..
playing with the ducklings and young rabbits ( as I refuse to call them bunnies) at the farm-supply store in the springtime, making simple comfort foods like grilled cheese and tomato soup, eating as much candy as I want ( current peppermint-patty addiction), driving my Jeep through VERY dangerous conditions off-road, occasionally buying cheap toys ( like Hot-Wheels cars), preparing for cold weather and storms by jumping into my most comfortable sweats and a t-shirt...
and I could go on and on... and on.
But then I realized that as grown-up as I am ( and I ain't getting any more grown than I am now)... that my life in and of itself, is one big guilty pleasure. I don't know why ( maybe due to being single and not having to account for "maturity"... or maybe because there were a lot of things I didn't have as a child) but I am forever young at heart... even with depression and going through many extremely painful and adverse situations throughout my life... I feel that I am forever trapped in the mind-set of a kid. It's who I am I guess, and regardless of circumstances or age... I'm afraid that my guilty pleasures will forever be a part of me.
My guiltiest of pleasures however, still elude me... a good nights sleep and the ability to be truly at-peace again... sigh.
Oh crap!... SpongeBob's on! Gotta run...
((hugs, beastie))
Then there's my dancing bear fantasies ............
Smoking

Hacking, but not often enough.
Actually those are just hobbies really....
Guilty ones are probably Pr0n(Porn), and thinking about sex 24/7. I haven't been laid in 5yrs and it's starting to make me twitch. Of course, I don't feel guilty about it so not even sure it is guilty.
I buy over 5,000$ in computer parts a year and later I think, "WTF Mate^^ Why did I buy all this?!" Of course, this year I am doing pretty good I have only spent about half that total amount and the year is close to over.
