Do you ever notice how perfect people on TV are perfect. Especially the women? They all wake up with perfect makeup and never drool in their sleep.
I know it's silly to think about such things. But I find myself compairing myself to these people. And then I have to remind myself that it is ACTING. They spen hours getting their hair and makeup done. Grrr
Too bad life isnt a fantasy.

My favorite is old westerns. These dirty, grungy, filthy old guys with perfectly white clean, straight teeth! Dental hygiene apparently was a priority back then.

The most realistic western I've ever seen is The Missing. But the people on that movie had bad teeth. lol

About westerns--I used to LOVE the way a character would get in a fight, fall off a cliff, get blown up--and have a PERFECTLY ironed shirt on when he came up!

I do NOT like watching perfect people---for ONE thing--I can't tell current actors apart... they ALL look the same!

Give me a GABBY HAYS any day....

I notice this too...And since we are on the topic of Westerns, how come they never have acne? I highly doubt they had Proactive back then, I mean come on...Perfect teeth, beautiful faces....People took craps back then in there yard, and woman walked around with no tampons... They were gross! lol

I'm dealing with this lately. I am torn with thoughts about how "perfect" even real people look compared to me. But, I like my inperfections, I think they hold a sort of charm. Some would call that character.

I often wonder how those cowgirls and boys look so perfect and don''t smell. They seldom bathe during the entire movie.

Women used to use old rags stffed with absorbent substances; hence the term 'on the rag'. They often buried them or threw them down the outhouse toilet. Native American did the same thing, only they buried theirs very far away from the village in only a place they knew.
