Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
It seems like an obvious conclusion. Almost everyone on this board is depressed. I am depressed. Almost everyone on this board has cats. I have a cat. Ipso Facto.

Hmmmm.... I honestly think that my kitties are the only thing that keep me fighting the depression. They are so cuddly and sweet!!! You will also not that those on the boards who do have cats and depression, have a better sense of humor then people without cats.

OTOH, treat cats much the same way they treat you (aloof, then cudly, then distant, etc) and you will have a friend for life. As long as you feed them and change the litter box!

I have hard that cats do cause depression, but I don't remember why. Maybe the internet will tell us.
