my cousin who is 7 years old was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, shes currently in a sugar coma and in the hospital, shes starved and only eats sugary foods, shes been wetting the bed and constantly peeing but her parents are extremley religious and dont believe in medicine they believe in praying, so i guess they did ruin her life, and for some reason i feel responsible or like i could have done soemthing, she repeatedly told them she felt sick and they brushed it off, i feel extremley dissapointed and sad, this developed, it could have been prevented if her parents werent so dense, it wasnt something she was born with, their other son is also diagnosed at only 2 years old with an iron defieciency, i feel so overwhelmed and they arent even my kids

I'm so sorry about your cousin. You couldn't have done anything to help.
I pray your cousin improves. Hopefully, A social worker at the hospital will get involved and help your cousin to get the proper care for his disease.

Tired is right -- you couldn't have done anything. They don't know what causes Type 1 diabetes, but there is some speculation that it is caused by a virus. Maybe the hospital will step in and request that the courts do something. The parents need to understand that God expects people to do things for themselves. He will help, but He's given us the gift of medicine, and He expects us to use it.
