Has anyone had any experience in this?? I saw a flier for it when I was at therapy last week and I am considering doing it if my insurance will cover it. Just wondering what it is like and if it helped.

DBT is a therapy that teaches 4 different modals. Mindfullness, Interpersonal Relationships, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance.
Each teaches something a little different but basically how to calm yourself down when in a crisis without hurting yourself in some way or taking it out on others.
Where I go we meet once a week for two hours, in addition to seeing our individual therapist. I personally think it is a good type of therapy but you have to be willing to do the work to see any progress.

Aphrodisiac, I don't know if all insurance covers it, but it is a part of the county mental health clinic I visit. I get my insurance through the county. They do pay for it, but I don't know if they would pay for it on top of the regular therapy sessions I go to weekly.
If you **want** to be helped - then it can be awesome. But if you are resistant - then you are just going to waste your time.
