Depression never ends

Hi, I'm usually in the PTSD forum, bc it's kind of a "catch all". for lots of stuff, and I have a whole bunch of (literally) crap the I've been wadding thru for the last 15 years. But today, it's the depression really dragging me down. Just over a week ago my dogs were playing with something in the back yard, and they would not come into the house. So I went to get their butts in the house, and I saw my female dog on their bed out there, and I found out what they were playing with. A tiny bunny. I didn't know if he was dead or alive, but when I picked him up, he wriggled out of my hand, fell to the deck, and make a little pain cry. So I brought him in nursed him back to help, and we grew close

Anyway, thers a lot more than that, but he has not been seen for 20 hours. I am freaking out, and it's totally ultimately dropped me into a deep, fast spiral into depression. I was doing bad before, but bunnie therapy was helping so much. Now he's gone, and I have looked everywhere 3x. I'm calling him, looking, nothing. That is just makin me so depressed. I am sick to death about this.

It's just so far beyond depressing.

if you did a good job a nursing him to health and it was possible for him to heal good he would have gone back to ware he came from ..if he was wild .....you don't usually get the wild out of them ....I can understand how it has all made you feel ....I had gotten a kitten once and he was born wild and you could never really get that out of him ...he went to the bathroom like the dog asked at the door ....but he would go away for up to 3 days and come back in the summer ...when the weather permitted it.......I am more worried about you that you get some help if you need it ....please take care of your self ....god bless ...I will keep you in my prayers

It's so hard to lose a pet/animal like that. We lost a few pets, but only try to think the best when they disappeared. We still talk about the lost ones. It is sad.

Don't be depressed. If that bunny is that small, he could be hiding in any part of your house and you would be surprised at how well they can hide. I have lost cats in the house and found them where I was shocked to see them. Another scenario is that your bunny got out and went looking for his/her mom. The bunny may have been taken away from his or her mom too early. Animals are smart!! If you took care of this beautiful animal and healed it back to health, then I can almost bet he or she is okay and thanking you, but wants to be free like he or she was before. Wild animals are just that, wild. Be happy for the love and healing you gave this animal, and know that you did all that you could. Don't be depressed, think the positive. That glass needs to be half full, not half empty. Hugs GB
