I'm sure you've figured out by now that, No its not wise to take some random test on the Internet to diagnose an Illness. Because that's what Depression is, and Illness of the Mental acuity. You need to see a Psychiatrist and find out exactly what's going on and get a Treatment Plan started so you can get your Depression going in the right direction.
In some ways not identifying depression is a better way to solve it than to identify it. To say "I have a mental illness" is not empowering "I'm miserable because my life is shit" is far more empowering.
Whether you are diagnosed with depression or not you still have to look at your life and fix it, because depression is caused. It doesn't just descend from on high. So you need to learn to look at your stuff, and figure out what you need to fix, and then you need to go ahead and fix it.
Counselling is great for that. I recommend starting with a counsellor (therapist) because you can follow your nose and don't have to be labelled/diagnosed as anything at all.
Counsellors do not require to diagnose you with any mental illnesses. They're just there to help you see your way clear in life's trials. And if for some reason you don't want a professional diagnosis but you still need assistance, they're definitely the way to go.
