Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am turning 47 this year and I do not see the point of being here. I rarely ever leave my house. I have chronic pain which has made it impossible to do anything! I feel like all I do I exist in constant pain and I am alone. Husband walked out while I was recovering from a huge surgery that saved my life.
Just know that you are not alone......

I think you need something else (besides support from the people who know exactly what you're going through). You need someone who can be an inspiration to you to finish the journey - if possible. Negativity and depression is so contagious and you also need some success stories (I hope there are at least more ).
I understand how you feel. There is a line in the movie "The Shawshankk Redemption" that stays with me - "Either get busy living or get busy dying". The choice is yours. Your on the fence, really because thhe will to live is really strong despite your desire to not feel and just die. Find a GOOD therapist (which is hard) to help you make this very big decision.
Although it is important to realize you are not alone, it should not be satisfactory or comforting for you to remain in this mindset; do not look for this as validation to remain where you are. I agree w/Trudilu to look for inspiration from those that persevere in spite of their troubles...
