Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

I volunteer a few hours a week here and there. I make sure the people know that I will have times when I can't volunteer due to the pain. They've all been understanding (because I volunteer...doesn't cost them money! LOL) Getting out and about has helped me a lot as far as the depression goes.
I hope you can find something to keep your mind occupied.
I am on disability as well, and my ego has really taken a hit because of it. I think finding some kind of volunteer work can help you re-craft your identity and give you purpose. You could be a mentor (even online) to young people, for example.
I also agree with Elena that it's important to get into a good daily routine -- exercise, maybe learning something new, errands, etc.
