Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.

My heart goes out to you as I to feel your pain.
And as you suffer in your silence I wonder if you've sought help to manage or get a handle on what you're going through.
There are a number of Reources, Therapy and even Medication that can help with your symptoms of sadness and make life more manageable.
I know these emotions we face can seem daunting as we isolate, and waste away shutting out all who once remained very active in our life's while we quietly fall victim to that which consumers us.
Sweetie depression is common in so many. And the thing about depression is nothing has to be wrong for us to be sad.
No one can help being depressed nor can they just snap out of it as I've heard more times than I'd like but what you can control is your decision to seek treatment and or medications.
As much as you try to hide your feelings from your children as you said they see your pain even when you think they don't.
But with children we must be careful because although you may not understand your feelings and what you're going through our children could very well get the idea that, mommy's sadness is somehow their fault.
So talking to our children as much as we can as we reassure them although mommy is sad it's not their fault!
I know that in this most vulnerable state we tend to push people away but if you can find even the slightest comfort in your children use that to your advantage.
My story is similar to yours whereas I struggled depression amongst Mental Illness.
In my 15 year marriage my husband and I had 3 children together.
When I felt I couldn't get a handle on life
on a occasions I'd voluntarily admit myself into The Behavior Health Hospital to get myself better again for my children.
Then one night my husband of 15 years filed a petition to have me involuntarily committed into The Behavior Health Hospital for 2 weeks!
As I was begin taken away from my children and my home the last thing I said to them was "Mommy will be back" not knowing my husband had different plans for me.
From the compounds of the Behaviour Health Hospital is where I would hire my divorce attorney and during my divorce proceeding is when I would lose custody of my 3 children and awarded supervised visitation instead.
And even now 4 years later the effects of the loss of my children continue to consume me as everyday is a battle field within my mind.
Although your struggle with depression is very real so are your children and their need for a mom who can tend to them at all times!
And as you may think what you're going through is unbearable just imagine losing your children, your home and your marriage all at once and unexpectedly and in one night, then my friend you'll finally know what depression really feels like!
Please take heed to my words. And as you started you don't know what to do anymore a good place to start is by getting yourself better for children!
Healing and Blessings...
