Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I have been completely disabled from Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome since 1998. It presents differently for different people but for me It is the worst exhaustion that I could ever imagine a human being having while still being counted among the living. Here is a website that you may go to that has information on the illness. If this is what you should have be very gentle with yourself and surround yourself with good support. http://www.cfids.org/about-cfids/do-i-have-cfids.asp
Sending you more gentle (((hugs))) Patricia
Iron levels? Vit D,various B vitamins. If these are lacking it can cause tiredness.. Perhaps get blood tests to check.
As this is certainly becoming something that is having a negative impact on my life, I plan on seeing another doctor as soon as I get insurance (which hopefully will be soon).
I have the feeling that something is physically wrong, and I often do wonder if I have something along the lines of thyroid problems, a food alergy, anemia, etc which could be causing this.
Then again, I have also suffered with depression for a very large portion of my life and I also wonder if my medicine may be causing the fatigue.
Depression
Iron deficiency,
Heart failure
various meds
Also struggling to eat correctly as when knackered you just want something quick and easy.
I try to do some excercise(usually a short walk) and often nap in the day..
It's like a kick in the teeth suffering fatigue and lack of motivation, all we can do is keep on fighting as we are used to doing!!
For around a year now, I have been sleeping on average 12 to 14 hours a day, and it is becoming difficult for me to so much as watch a TV show without falling asleep.
I feel physically weak and ill all the time, but according to diagnosis criteria, tests claim that it is not CFS ( although I feel as though that is exactly what I have).
I'm actually hoping to find something physically wrong with me, so that I can finally know what is wrong with me and make changes to get better. Being told that it is just depression just doesn't seem right. Seems like there must be more to it than just that.
The worst thing about this fatigue is how much I beat myself up for not being more active. I feel a massive amount of guilt for not working on my music, art, getting exercise, etc.
I very seldomly if ever go outside except to walk back and forth between work. Perhaps some sunlight is what I need...
It's the most frustrating thing!
I find that each doctor I go to has a different opinion, so that becomes another frustration. Is it depression causing the fatigue or fatigue causing the depression
I'm tired and I'm also just tired of being tired.
i myself am stuck with this stupid fatigue where i sleep about 13-15 hrs a day and dont know what to do when im up because im depressed that half the day is lost!
try and get out of the house more.even if you dont want to.maybe it might help?
