No one would tell you to commit suicide at the end of it "don't do it" would be the gist of everyone's answer. so be brief and let us help you out

Are you in danger of hurting yourself? If you are, call the suicide hotline, call the on call doc at your psych office if you have one, or go to the ER. If you are going to be ok alone tonight, call your doc in the morning.

Regarding getting responses: There are a lot of factors in post response from members. Time of day when you post, your title, your familiarity to the group etc. You're not alone. I'm an on and off member for near a decade. Sometimes I get one or two responses, others I get four to ten. Contributing to others posts helps them and you. You become a presence in the community here. Give it time and a little patience.

I agree with indianvisa. A general SOS gives us nothing to work with. It's hard to respond to those posts. Ask for something specific or share a specific problem and give a bit of detail.

Okay man read your previous post and i can tell you one thing kidney disease is one of the scariest diseases on earth, i myself had 3 stones and the pain was sickening, swelling.

My husband is in prison and has been for eight years but is up for early release and we are waiting to hear from the judge which could be any day so my anxiety level is up waiting and not knowing. I have to find a house so he has a place to go because my apartment complex won't let him stay with me due to his offense and I've been searching for a house since January but nothing has come up and in the mean time I've been doing month to month since May which has drained me financially and now I'm struggling financially to support me and our son. Our son has been acting out the past few weeks and I just found out he is failing every course not to mention he has been hitting me. I have stage 5 kidney disease but I can't do dialysis because the fistula they put in me closed 3 days after they put it in and they have no other way to put a port in me so I am on the transplant list but my blood type is rare so my chances aren't very good. My kidney disease is now affecting my heart and lungs and I have chest pain every day not to mention all the other normal side effects that come with the disease. My 2 closest friends who I use to be able to go to and talk to and have supported me well lets just say I'm not feeling very supported by them. I feel like things have changed with them and there is a distance between us now and I can't figure it out so I've shut down and now I just pretended everything is fine. I just pretend everything is fine with everyone when inside I'm feel like I'm falling apart. I feel so alone and I'm very stressed which probably isn't helping my heart any.

As for indianvisa's question I have stage 5 kidney disease not 5 different diseases which means my kidneys are shutting down and I will have to have a transplant in order to survive/live. My husband has said he would give me one of his kidneys but he can't while he's in prison so I am currently on the transplant wait list but my chances of finding a match are not very good.

So glad to hear hubby will give you a kidney and he's on the way out of prison. Hopefully he will sort the son out a bit too, who should not be hitting a woman of any sort, let alone his mother.

Does he apologise? He needs to say sorry. Does he even know why he does it? I have a son and he got pretty emotional around puberty time, my son thought he was going mad which made him even worse. Once I managed to get through to him how much was hormones and talk about some strategies he came right... slowly. :D

i don't know about the kid though may be he doesn't understand the pain that you are going through, since i am from india (we would normally beat the fuck out of the kid till he understands the situation) may be there is a place for such kind of kids in your country.

as far your husband in prison, don't get your hopes high, try to cure your disease and try your best to get the transplant (you would recover in 3 months)

Thank you bridgie101, that helps. My son is 13 so we are at the puberty stage right now and he's just having a really hard time dealing with stuff. He hits me mostly when he gets mad and most of the time he does apologizes but he's in therapy and I've talked to his therapist about it letting her know and he seems to be doing a little better lately so we'll see. I know he's dealing with a lot like waiting to hear about his dad, missing his dad and I know my disease is affecting him because anytime someone talks about it he shuts down completely not to mention school and being bullied (which I've already addressed with the school) so I know things are really hard for him too. It's just that dealing with him now and his behavior is one more thing on my plate that I didn't really need. But you telling me about your son gives me a little hope that things will get better with him and that I just have to hang in there a little longer.

Glad you opened up. Do you feel better? I know I have trouble at times sharing how I feel. I mostly respond to posts instead of posting on my own. Its easier that way for now (I try not to beat myself up about it). But when I do have the courage to post - I usually feel better. Hope you do too!

It sounds like things are starting to come together. Spend quality time with your son. Talk to him and tell him that you understand his feelings about wanting to see his dad. Focus on pulling the family back together when the time comes. Consider joining a church. You're going to need the support as your family works to rebuild itself.
