Depression Support Group
Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
Susy, you're a riot! :)
Kaitrin, as far as symptoms go, for me it's just that some days I'm in a terrible mood for no apparent reason and just hate everybody. Some days it borders on paranoi, where I feel like everyone is staring at me and that people I know are talking about me behind my back.
I'm not sure if hubby has any symptoms besides just being overworked and overtired and spending a lot of hit free time (what little of that there is) goofing off, but I'm not sure I really blame him. Maybe some of it is denial. We need to get our "old house" (tht we just moved out of) emptied so we can put it on the market, and it's just such an overwhelming task, I think he's just hiding from it (me too). Maybe that's not depression-related.
For me, when I look at my piles of clothes and books and boxes from moving, I just think "Oh my gawd, I'M TOO TIRED!" I am physically exhausted at all times. Maybe for me it's more a symptom of my sleep deprivation and sleep apnea struggles or weight (see my journal for more info on that). I'm so TIRED I don't even want to get in the shower, after showering I need a nap. I'm so tired of beig tired I cry about it.
You all have some great suggestions and ideas. I can't thank you enough.
I am sooo sick and tired of being sick and tired!!
Just a thought...maybe look into some sleeping meds. Trazadone works for me. It is a total KO and I get 8-10 hours of solid sleep. You could beat me with a bat and I wouldn't wake up. Of course the weight issue doesn't help much but maybe you could try that new 5 hour energy drink. It has very little caffine and is mostly b vitamins. It claims to give 5 hours of alert energy without the shakes and there is no crash at the end of it. Just a suggestion.
Many blessings
