I've been battling depression for the past few months especially. Every time it goes away, it comes right back. It's left me unmotivated to do anything. And I'm struggling to get into the Christmas spirit. Anyone else?
Maybe it's just been this year - lord knows it's been a crazy year. But I always look forward to putting up the Christmas tree and wrapping presents. Especially looking for presents for my family and friends. I love giving.
But not this season. I figured I'd wait until my vacation from work to get everything together, but I've been on vacation for a few days and I have no desire to mess with the Christmas tree. I've gotten a few presents for my family, but I just don't know what to do for the rest and I think I will just give gift cards, but then I feel bad for being lazy.
I wish I could snap out of it.
In my church, we have Christmas parties yearly but because of the virus, it’s cancelled. We were all looking forward to church gatherings like Christmas celebrations but for the meantime, our Pastor needs to cancel it. I have faith that this too shall pass, God is with us and we will go back to our normal lives.
