Is chocolate bad for depression? My therapist told me that chocolate is bad for depression.

That would be a big no in my opinion, I have always found it to relieve my symptoms during hard times, especially if I'm lethargic or have just had a seizure.

My doc actually recommended it to help me after seizures.

Actually, I believe chocolate has some chemical in it that kind of mimics the good feelings of being in love, so no I don't think it's harmful for depression.

I've never heard anything like that. I've heard that it releases endorphins that can make you feel better. It's the same with exercise, endorphins are realease because of it.. For me exercise has been really affective. I haven't really noticed any difference with chocolate.

Litscholar: are your seizures related to depression? I've been having them recently but didn't tell the doctor because I'm a fool and what not.
