Sending you healing vibes, on Wednesday in particular. I don't know what kind of cancer/chemo you're dealing with but my brother finished 12 round of chemo last year. It was hard on him but he has been cancer free since! We were lucky enough to find out with a cat scan (due to some other extenuating medical circumstances) that the cancer had shrunk after one treatment! Your doctors and nurses will take the best care of you that they can. Do some research on the particular chemo regimen you'll be receiving prior to treatment- it can be helpful to do some things during the treatments to avoid certain side effects. At least, for my brother there was a few things he could do to decrease some of them. Good luck!

I understand what you are going through. Two years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had surgery to remove the lump, went through chemo treatments and radiation. So far I am still in remission. Of course my anxiety level sky rocketed during this process, but I go through it. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Diane, so glad you posted today. I was thinking about messaging you. It's just so hard to know what to say when someone is battling cancer. Even with my son I was like that. There was so much I wanted to say but the words didn't always come. None the less I was always able to send up prayers for him and I am doing the same for you. I am also praying for good after care for you when you get back home. Don't be frightenend by the chemo. The thing is it kills everything, but not to panic. You do have to make sure you don't get fever, however, and if you do report it immediately. When my son had fevers he went back in to the hospital.

My son's cancer was hell for all of us. He constantly wanted to just give up and not fight any more. But now he is two years cancer free and has the best life he's ever had. Today he started an internship, he's doing great in school, he won an award through his school, and has a wonderful girlfriend whose family loves him.

And I believe there's a lot of life left to live for you too! There are people out there right now who are praying for you who you don't even know and may never meet. Those people are either cancer survivors themselves or have a love one who had it or has it. Their prayers are with you too!

This is just too much. My SIL just found my brother on the floor seizing. He had a benign tumor removed from his brain sheath in March. The hospital has no idea why this happening, since the tumor was removed. I don't know how I'm supposed to start chemo with him in this condition.

Have no fear. Cancer treatment has advanced tremendously. Sorry about your Brother. I advise you don't mix 2 different problems. You can do something about YOUR problem ... and can do little for his. Doctors are best suited to deal with both problems anyway.

As someone who's been through Chemo several times and beat cancer twice, I can tell you that, "frame of mind" and "positive thinking" plays a very big role in Chemo & Cancer Treatment. You need to be telling yourself that the Chemo will work, keep a positive attitude as much as possible. Try to be Optimistic about the future and what you're dealing with and take things a day at a time. Trying to look too far into the future and figure out if something bad will happen or something good is impossible with Cancer treatment.
