Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I challenge everyone on here to tell a funny story about themselves. I'll start.
I was in the car with my husband one day when he pulled out and made a u-turn. I pointed to the sign that said no u-turn and said,
"You just made an illegal u-turn!"
He said, "No I didn't."
I said, "What about the sign that said no u-turn?"
Ahe gave me a funny look and said, "No Honey, that's there for the next Isle."
Two weeks later I am at the same place. I don't event think about it, I make the u-turn. Within a block I see lights in my rearview mirror. I pulled over confused.
"May I help you officer?", I asked when he walked to my window.
"Ma'am did you know you just made an illegal u-turn?"
"I did not!", I exclaimed.
"Yes Ma'am, you did. Didn't you see the sign?". he asked calmly.
"Yeah I did. But my husband said that was for the next isle.", I explained.
"No Ma'am. They put the sign right there so you don't make a u-turn right there!", he said fighting a grin.
"Fine." I said, "Are you going to give me a ticket now?", I asked hoping he would so I could rub in my husband's face.
"How about I just give you a warning this time?"
"That will work." I said as I watched his lips twitch just a time or two.
Now that warning ticket hangs in a frame in my living room. Written proof that my husband lies to me!

"Do I make you happy?"
I continued to do the dishes, "Of course you make me happy. You know I love being married to you."
"No." he stated grinding his hips into my rear end, "Do I satisfy you?"
Before I thought better of it I turned around and caressed his cheek, "Don't worry, Hon, I taught you everything you need to know!"
I slapped my hand over my mouth completely mortified. He hugged me hard laughing,
"As long as you're happy, I'm happy."
How can you not love a man like that?
