Sorry, I have never taken it. I would like to read some replies, though. I have always wondered whether these new "booster of anti-depressants" actually work. Did you check the side effects compared with how you are feeling? Good luck.

I vomited a couple of hours later, they told me to try taking it again tomorrow morning, even though I'm a little skeptical. I was told by taking the two I would feel better in a week or a little more time.

Abilify made me super-agitated, like speed.
My doc switched me to Zyprexa which is similar. Much more calming for me, but everyone is different.
Abilify and Zyprexa are "atypical antipsychotics" which have been found to help boost antidepressants. There are a couple others in this group, Seroquel I think is one? and Geodon.
so you have a couple to choose from. If Abilify doesn't agree with you, ask to switch.

im on 40mg of celexa and 40 mg of abilify along with 4 mg of xanax and prasozin...my cocktail works for me i still SH and i still battle suicidal ideation but i feel id be worse off without them...they take time to level out in your system...keep your dr informed on your side effects maybe this combo isnt right for you good luck

My aunt felt that way with abilify also she quit taking it, It was to stimulating for her.

I take them both. They have helped me. I've been on both for about 6 months.
