I keep seeing this ad pop up here on DS. Ofcourse they must be a sponser.
If any of you are hard up for cash, which most of us are, dont be gathering up your unwanted or broken gold pieces and sending them to any of the peeps on the ads on here or television. It is a total scam.
One of the news stations here in Utah saw the one on Superbowl with Ed McMann so they gathered up about $2000 worth of gold. That would be the money if you melted it down. They sent them back a check for $200.
You can find reputable people in your own town, most jewelry stores that make their own jewelry, will give you the money that your gold is worth for that day, when they melt it down.
What a bunch of scammers. No wonder they could afford a $3 millon dollar ad on Superbowl.. roflmao... Just wanted to share..

They are preying on people who are desperate for cash, which is a large number of people these days.
sort of like the car title loan places, and the payday loan places.

Also E-bay is a great place to sell anything that you dont want that is gold or silver jewelry. They know the going prices for gold and usually will give you quite a bit more then melt price for wearable pieces.
I use to have a small jewelry store many moons ago and I am going to start selling my stuff on there for extra money. I have a scale to weigh the stuff, a diamond detector to make sure diamonds are real, and the testing acids to test the kt of the gold and if silver is sterling 925pure or 800 or 500. Its fun.. So if you have any questions, I can try and help you out.
