Depression is a real and debilitating condition that is often misunderstood by family and friends. Its meaning can range from a prolonged period of sadness to an actual mental illness with specific symptoms. Find and share experiences with others who are going through the same struggles.
I am amazed that anyone could still think that politicians are "good" people. Democrats must be "good" people because they believe in gay marriage, a woman's right to choose, welfare and healthcare for everyone. Republicans must be "good" people because they believe in God, country, family and apple pie.
Are you freaking kidding me??? If those selfish, greedy, power-hungry morons would put more time and money into worthwhile causes and not campaigning the world would be a better place. Do you understand what I'm saying? Can you imagine if just one of them took those millions of dollars and gave it to an entire senior class for college? Can you imagine if Obama had given all of that campaign money, NOT TAXPAYER MONEY, to the victims of Sandy? As a voter, as an American, as a human being, wouldn't that speak to you more? Which do you prefer: words or deeds? They can stand there blaming the other party all day. But at the end of the day, it's all talk and empty promises. Think of all the money that is truly wasted on signs and flyers and those stupid recorded messages. All of that money goes into a landfill!!! Oh, you want to argue that creates jobs? Not permanent jobs.
Don't tell me that ANY of those politicians care about middle and lower class Americans! If they did care, we wouldn't be in this mess right now. And I guess, we are all as much to blame because we let them get away with it.
And I don't hate Obama. We would still be in trouble with Romney and that tool Ryan.
God help us all.

While I agree that campaign spending in the U.S. is absurdly high, it would only cover a tiny fraction of the $50 billion in damage. Climate change needs to be addressed.

I could not have said it better! I admit that I did vote but I didn't really feel all that good about it. Yes they are all crooks----sad but true.
