I would rather die than spend another day being treated like shit in this dump. Hubby keeps saying he is working on getting me out of here, but he still won't allow me to leave yet. I honestly can not spend another day here and have seriously considered comitting myself as I feel completely hopeless. I literally dread going to work everyday and come home in tears. Hubby tells me to talk to him about all my problems and simultaneously gets angry every time I mention that I can not stand another day here. I work in pain. Management and coworkers are hostile and even abusive at times. I hate being around everyone both inside of work and outside. I literally have no life anymore as I live here and quite frankly would love to see this place burn to the ground. Management keeps getting stricter and more in my face everyday. I can't even take a lunch without getting yelled at. Fuck this place and everyone in it. I'm not suicidal, but fantasize about killing myself every day. Hubby says it's my choise whether or not to be happy. So, it's my choise to go to work 7 to 10 hours a day, be abused and treated like a lowlife, be called names and snapped at, and then should be happy? It's become obvious that nobody gives a shit about how ridiculously depressed and miserable I am. Just suck it up, right?
Yesterday, I got yelled at for the following. An elderly lady came in and ordered an expired product. She was completely angry, yelling, and asking if she was going to get sick from the spoiled food we gave her. She demanded that I check the expiration date, and so I did. She was right in that it was one week expired. I apologized, told her she was right and that she would get a complete refund from management or the cashiers, tried to assure her that I severely doubt that she would become ill from tasting the food and immediately threw away the remaining expired product from the case. I then get yelled at, told never EVER should I ever check the expiration date again for a customer regardless of how much they demand to see it, and that I should have lied and said that was the last of it and we didn't know the date. The manager then proceeded in filling up the container once again with said expired product. Then, as I was waiting on a customer, the same asshole manager decided he was going to immediately jump in and have a neighborly conversation with the person I am trying to take the order from in the middle of a lunch rush. So, what do I do? Wait for him to shut up or move on to another customer? I also stupidly agreed to come in early to cover for another employee and didn't even get so much as a thank you. Instead, I have the same bully manager do the following. As always, he jumps on my case about taking late lunches and claims that if I do not take a lunch by a certain time, I will be denied the right to a lunch regardless of being there for nine hours. So, I take my lunch early to avoid a fight. This is then what happens. An employee that I have had severe problems with for being hostile and expecting me to do all her work is allowed to come in three hours late. She shows up in shredded jeans, stands around doing no sidework. whines about how exhausted and burned out she is two hours into her shift, and goes on numerous lunches and breaks late at night and not only doesn;'t get yelled at because of it, BUT IS STANDING AROUND JOKING AND LAUGHING WITH THE ABUSIVE MANAGER! I could swear they did it on purpose just to fuck with me.
What the hell do I do in a situation like this? This sort of shit is an everyday occurance. I am miserable, treated like shit and stomped on and nobody cares.

Is there anyway that you could go to someone above your manager? To me it sounds as though you have a case for professional respect in the workplace, the way that you are being treated is not right! The fact that it is affecting your mental health so much is not good, could you see your Dr and take some time off due to stress? Is that an option?
Perhaps tell your husband that he has 1 month toget you out of there, not a wishy washy 'I'll get you out one day' but an actual end date, so that at least you can see that there is an end point!
Checking the expiration date was the right thing to do IMO, and personally I would document everything at work that says that the manager refilled the container with the expired product because otherwise my somewhat cynical side says he will try and blame it on you
Stand up for yourself, you are an amazing person and anyone who can't see that deserves a whack with my banana cannon
*gentle monkey hugs*
Here if you need to talk ok??

I hope you can see that the benefits to your physical and mental health that leaving this job would give you xxx
Here is my plan. I have four appointments in two weeks, right? If I WERE to put in my two weeks notice, my boss would still have to cover those four appointments. Plus, there is no reason why we can't get a loan before I go in to work this Saturday. I can only try to make it clear to him, for the billionth time, that I HAVE HAD ENOUGH, but I KNOW he is going to say something along the lines of wait until we have a vehicle and my job is fully secure. Always an excuse as to why I can't leave just yet. And quite frankly, I feel like an asshole for putting all the financial strain on my husband and why the fuck would I want to start some sort of a fight between him and I when I am already so ridiculously depressed and overwhelmed? I Know this is going to end up with me in a mental ward for the fourth time in my life as I seriously in no way shape or form can handle this.
DO FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is as plain as it gets sorry if it caomes across as insensitive but its time to walk away!
Could this be a, dare I say it, troll?
Damn, that was bloody obvious.
You can call the State Employment Agency and turn them in. I would do so. I would call the board of health on the expired food they are serving. I am sure you can find these numbers in the phone book or online. No sure where you live Good luck to you. Can you look for a job while you are still working at this job? I would.
